Regular Season Round 6: Carazo - Brumas 69-93

We should mention about the upset which took place in Jinotepe, where higher rankedCarazo (3-3) was outleveled at home by top-ranked Brumas (3-0) 93-69 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Carazo. Brumas dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Carazo 's 34. They outrebounded Carazo 50-39 including 17 on the offensive glass. Brumas players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for the former international Dalton Cacho (200-1993) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international guard Rafael Mendoza (171-2001) contributed with 28 points for the winners. Luis Jarquin (-1994) replied with 33 points (!!!) and the former international guard Armando Martinez (190-1988) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists in the effort for Carazo. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brumas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Carazo at the other side dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. They share it with Jass and Hurricane.
