Everything went according to plan when sixth rankedPuerto Varas (6-5) beat on the road 9th ranked Puerto Montt (3-8) 87-70 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was guard Patricio Arroyo (185-1996) who scored 20 points and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American-Argentinian guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Puerto Varas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Ecuadorian center Jordan Cardenas (206-1998, college: FNU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and American guard Stan Scott (193-1998, college: MSSU) added 15 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Puerto Varas have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Las Animas. Puerto Montt lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost.
