Obregon (#4) was upset in Ciudad de Mexico by seventh ranked Angeles 102-86 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Halcones de Ciudad Obregon. Angeles shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. The winners were led by American point guard DaQuan Bracey (180-1997, college: La Tech) who scored that evening 24 points and 5 assists and the other American import guard Jacobi Boykins (196-1995, college: La Tech) supported him with 22 points. Angeles' coach Gustavo Quintero allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 27 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) by American forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) did not help to save the game for Halcones de Ciudad Obregon . American-Nigerian swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-1994, college: UCF) added 21 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Five Angeles and four Halcones de Ciudad Obregon players scored in double figures. Angeles (2-4) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Guaymas. Obregon at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Mazatlan.
