There was an upset when higher rankedGimnasia (13-12) lost to sixteenth ranked Comunicaciones (9-16) in Mercedes 79-88 on Wednesday. Comunicaciones outrebounded Gimnasia 45-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. Forward Rodrigo Sanchez (200-1989) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard Keron DeShields (190-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: Diamond Sports) supported him with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 21 points by American guard Tyrone White (201-1990, college: CSUB) did not help to save the game for Gimnasia . Guard Emiliano Toretta (185-2001) added 13 points and 7 rebounds. Comunicaciones maintains sixteenth position with 9-16 record, which they share with Penarol. Loser Gimnasia dropped to the ninth place with 12 games lost.
