Very important is a road loss of second rankedDefenders (3-2) against fourth ranked Tiger Sharks (4-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Defenders were crushed by Tiger Sharks in San Pedro 104-70 . It was a key game for the second position in the league. Tiger Sharks made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Tiger Sharks outrebounded Defenders 46-29 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tiger Sharks players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Bobby Arthur-Williams (201-1997, college: Pitt St., agency: Starting 5) who led the winners and scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Point guard Francis Arana (180-1997) accounted for 18 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals for the winning side. American point guard Lorenzo Dillard (189-1995, college: Dillard) came up with 16 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and the other American import swingman Nigel Jones (201-1990, college: Talladega) added 18 points respectively for Defenders in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tiger Sharks have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Defenders at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Running Rebels.
