It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Obera. American center Vaughn De (205-1988, college: Stillman) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. Colombian point guard Juan Cardenas (201-1997, college: Bryant) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. De Vaughn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Gimnasia players scored in double figures. Venezuelan forward Jose Ascanio (204-1996, agency: Pro Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds and the former international Agustin Barreiro (205-1999) added 15 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Obera. Gimnasia maintains eighth position with 15-12 record, which they share with San Martin. Obera at the other side dropped to the tenth place with 14 games lost.
