Rather predictable result in Mercedes where ninth ranked Comunicaciones (16-11) defeated 12th ranked Platense (11-17) 85-76 on Wednesday. Comunicaciones outrebounded Platense 49-31 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Marcos Panozzo (195) fired 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Agustin Passone (180-2003) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. Santino Mazzucchelli produced a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Mariano Goicoechea (195-2004) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Comunicaciones moved-up to eighth place. Platense lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 17 games lost. They share it with San Lorenzo.
