Fifth defeat of league's leaderTijuana Zonkeys (15-5) against fifth ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (10-10) 87-82 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tijuana Zonkeys. They outrebounded Tijuana 46-29 including 34 on the defensive glass. Obregon looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 19 rebounds. American-Nigerian swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-1994, college: UCF) contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Arinze Chidom (206-1997, college: UC Riverside) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Alex Kaye Williams (203-1993) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for Tijuana. Five Tijuana players scored in double figures. Obregon maintains fifth position with 10-10 record. Tijuana at the other side still keeps top place with five games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Astros who have the same record.
