The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Riachuelo's (20-10) home victory over 7th ranked Ferro (19-12) in La Rioja 82-73 on Wednesday. The winners were led by Marco Pica who scored that evening 20 points and guard Mateo Corso (185-2003) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Riachuelo LR players scored in double figures. Riachuelo have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Ferro keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Riachuelo will meet at home La Union (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Ferro will have a break next round.
