Not a big story in a game in Santiago where 10th rankedTruenos (1-5) were edged by fourth ranked Stadio Italiano (4-3) 78-75 on Friday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was swingman Francisco Pena (187) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Ramon Gatica (185-1996) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Four Stadio Italiano players scored in double figures. Stadio Italiano's coach Rodrigo Carvajal used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Martin Morales who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and forward Alessandro Morales added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Stadio Italiano maintains fourth position with 4-3 record, which they share with Quilpue. Truenos lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with five games lost. Stadio Italiano will meet Arturo Prat (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Truenos will play against Boston College in Santiago and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
