Regular Season Round 8: Litegua - Halcones 70-95

Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Guatemala: Halcones (#1) and Litegua (#4). Litegua was smashed at home by 25 points 70-95 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Halcones dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Litegua's 40. Halcones forced 19 Litegua turnovers. Point guard David Monterroso (180-1979) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. The former international swingman Miguel Gonzalez (187-1990) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Naturalized American guard David Goddard (185-1989) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and Juan Pablo Aguilar JP (-2002) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Litegua. Halcones (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Litegua at the other side dropped to the bottom place with six games lost. They share the position with Leones and Forza. Halcones' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Guatemala PSN.
