Very important is a home loss of third rankedRayos de Hermosillo (18-12) against tenth ranked Frayles de Guasave (7-23) on Saturday night. Host Rayos de Hermosillo was edged by Frayles de Guasave in a tough game in Hermosillo 94-96 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rayos de Hermosillo. The winners were led by point guard David Sloan (183-1999, college: ETSU) who scored that evening 40 points (!!!) and 5 assists and power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) supported him with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Even 24 points by forward AJ John (202-1996, college: UC Davis, agency: MSG) did not help to save the game for Hermosillo . Forward Jeff Ayres (206-1987, college: Arizona St.) added 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Frayles moved-up to ninth place. Loser Rayos de Hermosillo keeps the third position with 12 games lost. They share it with Angeles.
