Regular Season Round 43: Riachuelo LR - Obera 89-73

Rather expected game in La Rioja where 8th ranked Obera (21-16) was defeated by sixth ranked Riachuelo (25-12) 89-73 on Thursday. Guard Jeremias Barco (-2005) fired 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners. Center Fabricio Diaz (205-2006) chipped in 9 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Maximiliano Acevedo (203-2004) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and Paraguayan power forward Hugo Caballero (190-2004) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Riachuelo. They moved-up to fifth place. Defending champion Obera keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost. Riachuelo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Obera will play against Union (#10) in Santa Fe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
