Regular Season Round 11: Bucaros - Piratas 86-69

Very predictable result in Bucaramanga where second ranked Bucaros (7-2) defeated 7th ranked Piratas (2-7) 86-69. Bucaros outrebounded Piratas 53-38 including a 42-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bucaros players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for international power forward Sebastian Valencia (200-1997) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. Panamanian-Chilean point guard Eugenio Luzcando Bocaz (190-1995, college: Idaho St.) accounted for 13 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side. Five Bucaros players scored in double figures. Bucaros' coach Jordan Barrios allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Ty Perry (193-1998, college: New Haven, agency: Helping Ballers) came up with 27 points and the other American import point guard Troy Jones (183-1997, college: ESU) added 8 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Piratas in the defeat. Bucaros maintains second place with 7-2 record behind leader Carrib.Storm. Piratas lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Bucaros will again play against Piratas (#7) in Bogota in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Piratas will have a break next round.
