The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Piratas' (3-11) home loss to seventh ranked Corsarios (4-9) 84-101 on Tuesday. Corsarios outrebounded Piratas 52-30 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for swingman RJ Gunn (201-1999, college: Duquesne, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Jalen Brooks (196, college: LSUS, agency: Players Group) helped adding 21 points and 13 rebounds. Four Corsarios players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Tristan Jarrett (193-1998, college: Jackson St.) with 23 points and 4 assists and point guard Jeremy Smith (180-1997, college: CSUSB, agency: Diamond Sports) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Corsarios moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Toros Del Valle. Loser Piratas dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost.
