Regular Season Round 16: Motilones - Cimarrones 89-73

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Motilones (12-4) beat 7th ranked Cimarrones (3-13) in Cucuta 89-73 on Sunday. Motilones outrebounded Cimarrones 74-33 including a 29-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Dominican power forward Juan Rosario (203-1999, agency: BMS Sport Agency) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 22 rebounds and American guard Devin Brooks (186-1992, college: Creighton, agency: BMS Sport Agency) supported him with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Brooks is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by Dominican point guard Adris De Leon (180-1984, college: EWU, agency: BMS Sport Agency) did not help to save the game for Cimarrones. Dominican guard Oliver Garcia (188-1996, agency: BMS Sport Agency) added 16 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Motilones have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Cimarrones lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Piratas. Motilones will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cimarrones will play against Bucaros (#3) in Bucaramanga and hope to secure a win.
