Regular Season Round 6: Correcaminos - Freseras 76-59

There was a minor upset in Ciudad Victoria where 5th rankedFreseras (5-7) were defeated by seventh ranked Correcaminos (4-6) 76-59 on Thursday. Correcaminos dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Freseras ' 24. Correcaminos forced 25 Freseras turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Javyn Nicholson (188, college: Georgia) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import guard Ciani Cryor (165-1997, college: Texas Southern) chipped in 19 points and 5 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Sidney Cooks (193-1998, college: Seton Hall) who recorded 20 points and Haitian swingman Jessica Fequiere (180-1993, college: Albany) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Correcaminos moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Panteras. Freseras lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost.
