Regular Season Round 6: Santas - Halcones 75-63

There was an upset in Potosi where higher rankedHalcones (7-3) were defeated by ninth ranked Santas (2-8) 75-63 on Friday. Santas forced 21 Halcones turnovers. The best player for the winners was American swingman Jazmine Jones (183-1996, college: Louisville) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. The other American import guard Aniya Thomas (170-2000, college: Missouri St.) chipped in 17 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Five Santas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian guard Ilze Jakobsone (168-1994) who recorded 20 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Montenegrin power forward Kristina Rakovic (186-1994) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Santas moved-up to eighth place. Loser Halcones keep the third position with three games lost.
