Very expected game when 10th rankedTabare (1-7) was smashed at home by fourth ranked D.Sporting (6-2) 81-31 on Sunday. D.Sporting held Tabare to an opponent 22.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.7 percent accuracy of the winners. D.Sporting forced 32 Tabare turnovers and outrebounded them 57-29 including a 23-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by center Josefina Rivera (177-1998) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and forward Lucia Schiavo (174-1998) supported her with 9 points and 5 rebounds. Even 9 points by Chilean Catalina Rodriguez (-2002) did not help to save the game for Tabare . Forward Luciana Franca (-2009) added 4 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. D.Sporting moved-up to third place. Tabare lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with seven games lost.
