Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo:Malvin (#1) and Lagomar (#8). Lagomar was smashed at home by 28 points 52-80 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Malvin held Lagomar to an opponent 24.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.2 percent accuracy of the winners and made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Malvin forced 29 Lagomar turnovers and outrebounded them 56-34 including a 41-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian swingman Delfina Saravia (173-2003) who helped to win the game recording 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Guard Carolina Fernandez (186-2003) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Carina Laborde (170-2004) replied with 17 points and 5 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and Argentinian guard Melina Marcial (168-1998) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Lagomar. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Malvin (10-0) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row. Lagomar lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with seven games lost.
