Very expected game in Cartagena where 7th rankedCorsarios (7-16) were defeated by second ranked Motilones (16-8) 83-71 on Sunday. Motilones dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Corsarios ' 30. Dominican power forward Juan Rosario (203-1999, agency: BMS Sport Agency) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks for the winners and Dominican Diego Colon (188-2001, agency: BMS Sport Agency) chipped in 25 points. The best for the losing side was American swingman RJ Gunn (201-1999, college: Duquesne, agency: Players Group) with 22 points and 8 rebounds and the former international swingman Andres Carmona (195-1997) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Corsarios players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Motilones maintains second place with 16-8 record having four points less than leader Carrib.Storm, which they share with Bucaros and Titanes. Corsarios lost fifth consecutive game.
