There was no surprise when 12th rankedVerdirrojo (3-7) lost to first ranked Olimpia (8-2) in Montevideo 87-95 on Tuesday. Olimpia had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Olimpia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. DNicolas Delgado (198-1987) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and Sebastian Ottonello (200-1997) accounted for 16 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Randy Rickards (201-2000, college: WILMU) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and point guard Nicolas Koster (181-1997) added 14 points respectively for Verdirrojo in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Olimpia have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-2 record. Verdirrojo lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost. They share it with L.Borges.
