The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Managua:Jaguares (#1) and Leones (#8). Jaguares (8-0) smashed visiting Leones (2-8) by 23 points 94-71 . Jaguares dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Leones ' 34. Jaguares had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. American swingman Deondre Wade (194, college: Seminole St.) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Puerto Rican guard Eliel Gonzalez (188-1995, college: NC A&T) added 7 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Leones. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jaguares have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Leones at the other side dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with UNI Basket.
