Very important is a road loss of third rankedDiablos (8-4) against twelfth ranked Soles (5-7) on Friday night. Visiting Diablos were defeated by Soles in a tough game in Mexicali 68-72 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Diablos. Soles dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Diablos ' 34. It was an exceptional evening for Iranian-British center Aaron Geramipoor (213-1992, college: Seton Hall) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. American-Argentinian Erik Thomas (195-1995, college: New Orleans) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four Soles players scored in double figures. International swingman Gael Bonilla (204-2003) came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Cecil Williams (198-1995, college: CMU) added 12 points respectively for Diablos in the defeat. Diablos' coach Nicolas Casalanguida let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Soles moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Lobos BUAP. Loser Diablos keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Mineros.
