Regular Season Round 23: Tabare - Olimpia 79-92

Metropolitan top team -Olimpia (17-4) managed to deliver another win on Monday. This time they beat seventh ranked Tabare (11-11) 92-79 . Olimpia dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Tabare 's 30. They outrebounded Tabare 42-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Olimpia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was DNicolas Delgado (198-1987) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Brazilian Douglas Nunes (210-1987) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Four Olimpia players scored in double figures. American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) produced 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Juan Zanotta (185-1995) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the hosts. Tabare's coach Nico Scarabino let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Olimpia maintains first place with 17-4 record. Loser Tabare dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost.
