The most exciting game of round 22 in the LNBP took place in Xalapa. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th rankedDorados (10-7) to second ranked Halcones UV Xalapa (12-4) 104-103 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Dorados. Halc.Xalapa looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese-American guard Clevin Hannah (179-1987, college: Wichita St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists. Argentinian forward Alexis Elsener (195-1988, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Elsener is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Halcones UV Xalapa players scored in double figures. Halcones UV Xalapa's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Charles Mitchell (203-1993, college: Georgia Tech) replied with 26 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Lester Medford Jr (178-1993, college: Baylor) added 16 points and 11 assists in the effort for Dorados. Halcones UV Xalapa have an impressive five-game winning streak. Halc.Xalapa maintains second position with 12-4 record behind leader Fuerza Regia. Dorados at the other side dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Plateros.
