Regular Season Round 35: Fuerza Regia - Diablos 90-102

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-rankedFuerza Regia (21-7) in Monterrey on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Diablos (19-9) 102-90 . Diablos dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Fuerza Regia 's 32. It was a great shooting night for Diablos especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for the former international center Joshua Ibarra (211-1995, college: HCU) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). American guard Avry Holmes (185-1994, college: Clemson) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Diablos players scored in double figures. American guard Jalen Adaway (196-1998, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Jhonathan Dunn (193-1998, college: S.Nazarene) scored 20 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Diablos maintains fourth place with 19-9 record. Defending champion Fuerza Regia still keeps top position with seven games lost. They share it with Astros.
