Regular Season Round 1: Platense - Penarol 74-70

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Penarol and Platense , which took place in Florida. Penarol lost to Platense in a road game 70-74 on Thursday. Platense dominated down low during the game scoring 36 of its points in the paint compared to Penarol's 16. They outrebounded Penarol 43-29 including a 16-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Swingman Mariano Goicoechea (195-2004) nailed 25 points for the winning side and Santino Mazzucchelli accounted for 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Gian Rossi (185-2005) came up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and Gonzalo Aman added 12 points respectively for Penarol in the defeat. Platense will meet at home Independ.O. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Penarol will play against Obras having rather not much hope for a victory.
