Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Panama City:Dragones and Panteras . Panteras were defeated at home 62-73 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Dragones brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Center Jesus Lombardo (201-2000) stepped up and scored 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Costa Rican forward Daniel Shedden (193-1996, college: MSUB) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks. At the losing side forward Justin Diaz (187-2002) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and the former international Israel Munoz (196-1991) scored 8 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
