Regular Season Round 2: La Union - Instituto 87-86

A very close game took place in Formosa between La Union and Instituto. La Union got a very close home victory over Instituto. La Union managed to escape with a 1-point win 87-86 on Tuesday evening. La Union made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Strangely Instituto outrebounded La Union 44-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Thiago Gronda who scored 33 points (!!!). Augusto Moresco chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. La Union's coach Felix Medina used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Jeronimo Guerrero (191-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and Bautista Corsi added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four La Union and five Instituto players scored in double figures.
