Regular Season Round 3: Zarate - Independ.O. 75-78

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Zarate (1-1) at the home court on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by Independ.O. (4-0) 78-75. Strangely Zarate outrebounded Independ.O. 50-33 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Jorge Garcia (200-2003) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Esteban Caffaro (200-2003) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Gino Sciamanna who recorded 26 points and 9 rebounds and Jose Ruiz added 16 points and 17 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Independ.O. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zarate will play at home against Penarol (#13) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
