Regular Season Round 3: Ferro - Obras 85-83
Date: October 19, 2024
First defeat of Obras (3-1) against Ferro (2-1) 85-83 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-83. It was a good game for point guard Tomas Spano (183-1998) who led his team to a victory with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Alejandro Diez (201-1987) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Ferro players scored in double figures. The former international Marcos Mata (202-1986) answered with 23 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and American forward Chris Clarke (196-1996, college: Texas Tech, agency: Interperformances) added 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Obras. Obras' coach Diego Vadell rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
