There was an upset in Santiago del Estero where higher rankedArgentino (2-3) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Quimsa (2-1) 75-71 on Tuesday. Quimsa looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Romeo Amprimo who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals. Facundo Campos (-2005) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Quimsa's coach Marcelo Zanni allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Augusto Gennero (188-2003) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and Lucio Dominici added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Quimsa and five Argentino players scored in double figures. Quimsa moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Obera. Loser Argentino dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Instituto and Platense. Quimsa will meet San Lorenzo (#17) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Argentino will play against Olimpico (#20) in La Banda and hope to secure a win.
