La Union can celebrate their first win this season after two consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Union (4-3) 90-79 . Union was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized American guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. American power forward DeMarco Owens (203-1996, college: Montevallo) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Owens is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Point guard Alejandro Konsztadt (190-1989) answered with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Cuban center Pedro Bombino (206-2000) added 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Union. Five La Union and four Union players scored in double figures. Union SF's coach Maximiliano Seigorman rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. La Union (1-2) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Zarate. Union at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost.
