No shocking result in a game when third rankedCorrecaminos (5-3) beat 5th ranked Panteras (2-6) in Panama City 81-68 on Saturday. Correcaminos outrebounded Panteras 48-30 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international swingman Tyler Gaskins (193-1992, college: St.Peter's) who scored that evening 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Michael Hicks (196-1976, college: TAMUCC) supported him with 25 points. Even 28 points by Puerto Rican guard Jorge Matos (185-1992) did not help to save the game for Panteras . American forward Sita Conteh (203-1998, college: Coppin St.) added 16 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Four Panteras players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Correcaminos maintains third position with 5-3 record having just two points less than leader Toros. Loser Panteras keep the fifth place with six games lost.
