Basketball Champions League Americas round 8 best performance: Brandon Robinson (by Hoops Agents)

American Shooting guard Brandon Robinson (196-SG-1989) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Quimsa, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, three rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Minas (#2, 3-3) 83-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Quimsa to consolidate first place in the Basketball Champions League Americas. Quimsa have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Robinson had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Quimsa's top player in his first season with the team. Former Clayton College & State University star has very solid stats this year. Robinson is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.5ppg and leads league in rebounds with 4.5rpg. Robinson is in league's top in and averages impressive 69.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Argentinian Martin Cuello (193-SG-1993) of league's leader Flamengo. Cuello had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Flamengo cruised to a 79-71 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Instituto (#3, 1-4). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Flamengo consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Cuello is a newcomer at Flamengo, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Lucas Silva (208-C-1995) of league's top team Sesi Franca. Silva scored 22 points and grabbed five rebounds. He was a key player of Sesi Franca, leading his team to a 103-63 easy win against #2 ranked Concepcion. Sesi Franca started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Silva turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Silva has a great season in Basketball Champions League Americas. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.0rpg (8th best).
