The standout point guard Alexey Borges was named the Player of the Year of the championship-winning Clube de Regatas do Flamengo from Brazil. He received multiple other awards, was voted the Finals MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Latin Player of the Year, Guard of the Year, and was selected to the First Team, Honorable Mention and Defensive Team. With Borges' excellent performance, the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 5 to 1 in the regular season. Borges' excellent performance assisted his team in beating the Boca 83 to 57 in the final. He showcased his talent by ranking fifth in points per game with an average of over 15. Borges was the Player of the Week honoree twice during the 24 25 campaign. He led the NBB in assists per game with 8. Borges has totalled 10 games of 20 or more points and recorded double-doubles in 9 games on the year. His 27 points against the UniFacisa were the most he scored in the 24 25 season.
Luis Montero, 31-year old Dominican small forward Minas Belo Horizonte from Brazil, was selected as the Forward of the Year at the Novo Basquete Brasil. He graduated from the South Plains ten years ago. Montero collected multiple other honors, was chosen to the First Team, Honorable Mention and Defensive Team. He helped Montero's team have an undefeated season as Minas Belo Horizonte was not challenged in the league with a perfect 6 to 0 in the regular season. Montero received Player of the Week award twice during the 24 25 campaign. His exceptional play earned him the fourth spot in rebounds per game, boasting an impressive average of over 7. Montero also averaged almost 11 points per game in the league. He registered double-doubles in 3 games at the event. Montero's 17 points against the Flamengo were the most he scored in the 24 25 season.
Lucas Dias, center Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo from Brazil, was honored as the Center of the Year of Basketball Champions League Americas. He received multiple other awards, was named to the First Team, Honorable Mention and Defensive Team. Dias helped Dias' team have an undefeated season as Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo was not challenged in the league with a perfect 6 to 0 in the regular season. He had over 14 points and 5 rebounds per game that season in the league. Dias has totalled 7 games of 20 or more points on the year. His 28 points against the Quimsa were the most he scored in the 24 25 season. He was also best scorer in the league last season when he scored 18 points per game.
Georginho de Paula, 28-year old point guard Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo from Brazil, earned a spot in the First Team at the Novo Basquete Brasil. He collected multiple other honors, was named to Honorable Mention selection and was voted to the Defensive Team. de Paula helped de Paula's team have an undefeated season as Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo was not challenged in the league with a perfect 6 to 0 in the regular season. He orchestrated his way to the second spot in rebounds per game, showcasing a dazzling average of over 8. de Paula also recorded over 12 points per game over the season in the league. He has totalled 7 games of 20 or more points and logged double-doubles in 12 games on the year. de Paula's 27 points against the Minas were the most he scored in the 24 25 season. Among many awards he was selected as the Latinbasket All-Brazilian League Player of the Year between 2020 and 2021. He was selected as the Latinbasket All-Brazilian League Defensive Player of the Year back in 2020. de Paula was selected as the Latinbasket All-Brazilian League Domestic Player of the Year back in 2021. He was also selected to the Latinbasket All-Paulista First Team for three consecutive years between 2019 and 2021.
Jared Ruiz, 32-year old Nicaraguan small forward Real Esteli from Nicaragua, was selected to the First Team of Basketball Champions League Americas. He received multiple other awards, earned Honorable Mention and was chosen to the Defensive Team. Ruiz conducted his way to the fourth position in averaging a commendable almost 17 points per game. He also averaged over 5 rebounds per game in the league. Ruiz's 26 points against the Paisas were the most he scored in the 24 25 season. Among many awards he won the Nicaraguan LSB championship title in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024. He was also selected as the Latinbasket All-Nicaraguan LSB Domestic Player of the Year in 2024. Ruiz was selected to the Latinbasket All-Nicaraguan LSB First Team in 2019, 2020, 2023 and 2024. He was also selected to the Latinbasket Nicaraguan LSB All-Domestic Players Team in 2024. Ruiz was selected as the Latinbasket All-Nicaraguan LSB Honorable Mention back in 2022.
