The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Belize City: Hurricanes (#4) and Running Rebels (#7). Running Rebels were crushed at home by 16 points 72-88 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Hurricanes outrebounded Running Rebels 35-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American point guard Tyrie Orosco (196, college: Cent.Penn) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. International guard Devin Daly (195-94, college: L.Superior) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). American point guard Isaiah Thomas (188-93) produced 17 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 6-5 record. Running Rebels lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Hurricanes' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Belize City Defenders.
Leader Verdes delivered the tenth victory. This time they crushed 6th ranked Red Bandits (2-9) 112-57. American point guard Kris Frazier (201, college: Peru St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 21 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Davis Guzman contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Kevon Laurie answered with 5 points and 9 rebounds for Red Bandits. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Verdes (10-1) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place. Red Bandits lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Verdes will play against Tigersharks (#3) in San Pedro in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Red Bandits will have a break next round.
In the last game of round 11 Belize City D. were defeated by San Pedro T. in a road game 79-61.

Leader Verdes delivered the tenth victory. This time they crushed 6th ranked Red Bandits (2-9) 112-57. Verdes dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Red Bandits' 32. They outrebounded Red Bandits 69-37 including a 26-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Verdes players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Red Bandits' players. There was no surprise in San Pedro where 5th ranked Defenders (4-7) were defeated by third ranked Tigersharks (7-4) 79-61. Defenders were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Martevuius Adams orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 7 rebounds. International forward Jihad Wright (193-93, college: UNC Pembroke) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American center Nigel Jones (201-90, college: Talladega) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and center Matthew Young added 16 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Defenders. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Tigersharks. They maintain third place with 7-4 record having just three points less than leader Verdes. Defenders lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Tigersharks will play against league's leader Verdes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Defenders' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Belize City to the arena Hurricanes.
