Running Rebels - Tiger Sharks 91-83 The game in Belize City was also worth to mention about. Tiger Sharks (1-3) played at the court of Running Rebels (2-3). Running Rebels managed to secure a 8-point victory 91-83. Running Rebels forced 25 Tiger Sharks turnovers. Strangely Tiger Sharks outrebounded Running Rebels 48-35 including 35 on the defensive glass. Tiger Sharks were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Tyrone Hall (190-1990, college: Queens, NY) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 4 assists. American forward James Stanback (198, college: Camden County) accounted for 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Point guard Francis Arana (180-1997) came up with 23 points and 9 rebounds and American power forward Jamaal Clifton (198, college: Langston) added 13 points and 16 rebounds respectively for Tiger Sharks in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Western Ballaz was defeated by Red Taigaz in a tough game in Belmopan 90-98. Red Taigaz forced 21 Western Ballaz turnovers. 30 personal fouls committed by Western Ballaz helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American Jeremiah Toney (196-1998, college: Southwest, agency: One Motive Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Ben Page (198, college: Concordia, TX) helped adding 21 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American swingman Mark Gordon (196, college: Keiser) with 29 points and 9 rebounds and forward Darnell Oden scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dream Ballers forced 23 Panthers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Panthers' players. The best player for the winners was American guard DVon Campbell (185-1992, college: Campbellsville) who scored 22 points and 5 assists. The former international guard Edgar Mitchell (-1993) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Dream Ballers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Tavian Davis (183-1998, college: Rogers St.) who recorded 28 points and center Julien Travis added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
