Orosco's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Point guard Tyrie Orosco (196-PG) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Hurricanes and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 38 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed Panthers (#8, 1-7) with 65-point margin 143-78. Hurricanes maintains the 2nd position in Belizean league. They are still close to the very top. Hurricanes would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Orosco had a remarkable 73.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Hurricanes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Tyrie Orosco averages this season 15.5ppg and 5.8rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Mark Gordon (196-F/G) of Western Ballaz. He is American swingman in his first season at Western Ballaz. In the last game Gordon recorded impressive double-double of 34 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Western Ballaz lost that game 89-101 to the higher-ranked Running Rebels (#3, 5-3). Western Ballaz is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Third place about best performers goes to another Hurricanes' star - forward Victor Evans (193-F). Evans scored 26 points.
