Belizean BEBL round 6 best performance: Richard Smith III (by Hoops Agents)

American Richard Smith III (206-C/F-1992) had an amazing evening in the last round for Western Ballaz, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Panthers (#8, 1-8) 95-85. Western Ballaz is placed at 5th position in Belizean BEBL. Western Ballaz is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Smith III had a remarkable 90.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Western Ballaz, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former California University of Pennsylvania star has very solid stats this year. Smith III leads league in rebounds with 13.5rpg. Smith III is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.8bpg and 64.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Tavian Davis (183-PG-1998) of Panthers. Davis had a very good evening with 39 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. He also registered 6.5 boards per game. Former Rogers State University star Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Western Ballaz's star - American swingman Mark Gordon (196-F/G). Gordon showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, seven rebounds and nine assists in the last round. He was another key player of Western Ballaz, helping his team with a 95-85 win against the lower-ranked Panthers (#8, 1-8). Western Ballaz needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Gordon has a great season in Belize. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 28.4ppg (2nd best), rebounds with 8.8rpg (8th best) and assists with 3.3apg (8th best). He also has 2.5spg, FGP: 60.5% and 3PT: 41.4%.
