Weatherspoon's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

James Weatherspoon put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Western Ballaz and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Tiger Sharks (#6, 1-3) 88-86. Western Ballaz is placed at 4th position in Belizean league. Western Ballaz is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Weatherspoon had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He just recently signed at Western Ballaz and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Weatherspoon has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.0ppg) and averages solid 2.0bpg,59.3% FGP and 42.9% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Jonathan Guzman (201-F-1998) of Griga Dream Ballers. He is American forward in his first season at Dream Ballers. In the last game Guzman recorded an impressive double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Dream Ballers lost that game 88-93 to Hurricanes (3-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Guzman is one of the most experienced players at Dream Ballers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Richard Laku (206-PF-1997) of San Pedro Tiger Sharks (#6). Laku got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . Despite Laku's great performance the Tiger Sharks lost 86-88 to Western Ballaz (#4, 1-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Tiger Sharks can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Laku has individually a great season in Belize. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.0ppg (best scorer).
