Sidibe Bourama claims Belizean BEBL weekly honour

Sidibe Bourama had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Smart Belize Hurricanes and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The had a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed Defenders (#2, 3-1) with 47-point margin 119-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Hurricanes to consolidate first place in the Belizean BEBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Hurricanes already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. Bourama just recently signed at Hurricanes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Bourama has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 11.8rpg) and averages solid 76.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was center Matthew Young (C) of Orange Walk Running Rebels. Young impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he led Running Rebels to another comfortable win 86-67 over slightly lower-ranked Western Ballaz (#5, 1-3) being unquestionably team leader. Running Rebels' 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Young is one of the most experienced players at Running Rebels and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Jayden Lopez (G) of Belmopan Trojans (#6). Lopez scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Despite Lopez's great performance the Trojans lost 71-88 to slightly higher-ranked Tiger Sharks (#4, 3-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Lopez has individually a great season in Belize. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 2.0apg (5th best).

9. Jamell Harris (208-F/C-1991) of Hurricanes - 13 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Mark Gordon (196-F/G) of Western Ballaz - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
