Fenton Bradley Jr. claims Belizean BEBL weekly honour

Naturalized American Fenton Bradley Jr. (200-F-1998, agency: One Motive Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Belize City Defenders and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 25-year old forward had the game-high 25 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Defenders in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Trojans (#5, 2-6) with 36-point margin 107-71. Defenders is placed at 2nd position in Belizean BEBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Defenders will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Bradley Jr. had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Defenders and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Fenton Bradley Jr. averages just after two games 18.5ppg and 7.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Defenders' star - young American swingman Nigel Jones (201-G/F-1990). Jones impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds. Of course together with Bradley Jr. he helped NSC Combined Schools Tridents with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Trojans (#5, 2-6) 107-71. This victory allowed Tridents to move up to second position in the standings. His team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Jones is one of the most experienced players at Tridents and similarly like Fenton Bradley Jr. has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.7ppg (#4). He also registered 8.2 boards per game. Talladega College alumni Jones played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was another Defenders' star - American D'Von Campbell (185-G-1992). Campbell scored 10 points and passed 8 assists. He was another key player of Belize City Defenders, helping his team with a 107-71 easy win against the lower-ranked Trojans (#5, 2-6). Defenders needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Campbell has a great season in Belize. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.3apg (3rd best). D'Von Campbell has also Belizean passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
