Belizean BEBL round 10 best performance: Deshawn Brackett

American Point guard Deshawn Brackett (178-PG-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for Griga Dream Ballers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, three rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Western Ballaz (#7, 1-6) 76-65. Dream Ballers maintains the 5th position in Belizean BEBL. Dream Ballers is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-4 record. In the team's last game Brackett had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Dream Ballers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Deshawn Brackett has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.4ppg), assists (8th best: 3.6apg) and averages impressive 3.6spg and 56.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American JD Weatherspoon (198-PF-1992) of Western Ballaz. Weatherspoon had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Western Ballaz lost that game 65-76 to slightly higher-ranked Dream Ballers (#5, 3-4). Western Ballaz are still at the very bottom. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Western Ballaz managed to get this year. Weatherspoon is one of the most experienced players at Western Ballaz and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#5). He also registered 11.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Dream Ballers' star - international guard Edgar Mitchell (G-1993). Mitchell showcased his all-around game by recording 13 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Griga Dream Ballers, helping his team with a 76-65 win against slightly lower-ranked Western Ballaz (#7, 1-6). The chances of Dream Ballers ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Mitchell could help Dream Ballers to bring them higher in the standings. Mitchell has a great season in Belize. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.5apg (5th best).
