Dream Ballers - Hurricanes 83-90

Hurricanes outrebounded Dream Ballers 52-31 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. American swingman Victor Evans (193, college: Vanguard) notched 24 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international forward Kirk Smith (203-2000, college: McLennan CC) supported him with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Hurricanes' coach Greg Moguel allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by Delvon Henderson (200-1991) did not help to save the game for Dream Ballers. American forward Jonathan Guzman (201-1998, college: Antelope Valley) added 17 points and 10 assists for the hosts. Five Hurricanes and four Dream Ballers players scored in double figures.

American swingman Nigel Jones (201-1990, college: Talladega) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American guard DVon Campbell (185-1992, college: Campbellsville) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists during the contest. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Defenders players scored in double figures. The former international guard Jihad Wright (193-1993, college: UNCP) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Bobby Arthur-Williams (201-1997, college: Pitt St.) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
