Defenders forced 19 Hurricanes turnovers. American swingman Nigel Jones (201-1990, college: Talladega) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Devin Daly (195-1994, college: LSSU) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Mali center Bourama Sidibe (208-1997, college: Syracuse, agency: VM Hoops Agency) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and American swingman Victor Evans (193, college: Vanguard) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Five Defenders and four Hurricanes players scored in double figures. Hurricanes' coach Greg Moguel tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
