Belizean BEBL round 4 best performance: Nisani Mendez

Nisani Mendez (G ) had a great game in the last round for Capital City Kings, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The player tried to help (40 points, six rebounds and two assists) his team in a lost game to Dream Ballers (#2, 3-2) 92-94. City Kings maintains the 7th position in Belizean BEBL. They are still not able to win a single game in the league yet. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 3 games and recorded no victories. In the team's last game Mendez had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at City Kings, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Nisani Mendez averages just after three games 17.0ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was Kevon Laurie (F) of league's second-best EZ Investments Dream Ballers. Laurie had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Dream Ballers cruised to a 69-62 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Panthers (#5, 2-2). This victory allowed Dream Ballers to move up to second position in the standings. His team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Laurie is one of the most experienced players at Dream Ballers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American Malik Hunt (206-C -1997) of league's top team San Pedro Tiger Sharks. Hunt scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Tiger Sharks, leading his team to a 80-75 win against #4 ranked Western Ballaz in a game of the week. Tiger Sharks started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Hunt turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Hunt has a great season in Belize. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.8rpg (5th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
