Tyrell Griffith claims Belizean BEBL Hoops Agents weekly honour

Tyrell Griffith (F ) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader San Pedro Tiger Sharks and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The had the game-high 25 points adding eight rebounds for Tiger Sharks in his team's victory, helping them to beat Panthers (#5, 2-3) 80-75. It allowed Tiger Sharks to consolidate first place in the Belizean BEBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Tiger Sharks already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Griffith had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Tiger Sharks, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Tyrell Griffith averages this season 14.0ppg and 7.2rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young John Kelly (200-C -1997) of Capital City Kings. Kelly impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as City Kings lost that game 71-87 to the higher-ranked Thunderbolts (#3, 3-3). Kings are still at the very bottom. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory City Kings managed to get this year. Kelly is one of the most experienced players at Kings and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Evans showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Thunderbolts, leading his team to a 87-71 easy win against the lower-ranked Kings (#7, 1-5). Evans has a great season in Belize. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.4ppg (5th best), rebounds with 9.0rpg (7th best) and assists with 5.2apg (2nd best).
