American Power forward Jamaal Clifton (198-F/C-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for Corozal Cerros Suns, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Tiger Sharks (#1, 11-1) 77-99. Suns maintains the 7th position in Belizean BEBL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 9 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Clifton had a remarkable 68.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Suns' top player in his first season with the team. Former Langston University, OK star has very solid stats this year. Clifton is in league's top in points (4th best: 18.7ppg), rebounds (4th best: 10.8rpg), assists (9th best: 2.8apg) and averages impressive 54.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was American Victor Evans (193-G , agency: F1RST STRING) of league's second-best Belize City Thunderbolts. Evans had a very good evening with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Thunderbolts to edge slightly lower-ranked Western Ballaz (#4, 7-5) 76-70. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Thunderbolts consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 8-5 record is not bad at all. Evans is a newcomer at Thunderbolts, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.4ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 8.2rpg and 4.6apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Thunderbolts' star - Matthew Young (C ). Young scored 17 points and grabbed 20 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Belize City Thunderbolts, helping his team with a 76-70 win against #4 ranked Western Ballaz. Young has a great season in Belize. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 15.0rpg (#1 in league).
